| Frequently Asked Questions | |
Does my Custom Medical Bracelet jewelry have a guarantee? Yes! Our products come with a 90-day guarantee from the date we ship. We guarantee against defects in workmanship under normal use. We do not guarantee our jewelry when worn in water or during sports. We do not cover wear & tear.
Can I wear my beaded bracelet or watchlet while bathing or swimming? Watches are not waterproof! Custom Medical Bracelets uses the finest 49 strand, nylon coated, stainless steel flexible jewelers wire. When this wire is repeatedly exposed to water, eventually it will break, therefore we cannot guarantee or recommend wearing your bracelet/watchlet in water. Treat your Custom Medical Bracelet beaded bracelet with care. You may wear our all stainless bracelets in water! I have a Nickel Allergy. Can I wear your beaded styles? All our beaded jewelry includes sterling silver crimps & clasps, however our beaded jewelry is not considered Nickel-Free or Hypoallergenic. Most of our beaded jewelry contains some Bali silver beads (oxidized) in the design, which are a mix of sterling silver and 7.5% Pewter. Pease be careful when making your selection, as we do not give refunds or exchanges on custom-made beaded jewelry due to an allergy to Nickel.
How do I know what size to select? Using a soft-cloth measuring tape or string, measure your wrist at the smallest point and add 3/4" to 1 inch, depending on how you like to wear your bracelets. Select from the pull-downs on each bracelet design page. For your little ones, we recommend 1/2" to 3/4," so they cannot skoot their bracelet off too easily. See our Sizing Guide for help. Measure carefully as we do have a re-sizing fee. What if my tag has an error? Please let us know immediately, and we will send out a replacement tag if we have made an error. Custom Medical Bracelets is not responsible for orders submitted incorrectly.
What should I engrave on my Medical ID Tag? Select the most important medical information, in case you cannot speak for yourself. Putting your medical condition is important! You will be limited by the number of characters per line on the tag you have selected. Be sure your most important information is there. Many choose to have their full name and an "ICE" (In case of emergency)telephone number, rather than the medication taken, as that can change. We include a Free Medical Emergency Wallet Card where you can write down the medicine you take, doctor's phone numbers & more. How long will it take for me to receive my Custom Medical Bracelet jewelry? Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive your custom-engraved Medical ID jewelry from the date we ship your order. Orders placed on Friday-Sunday will be processed on Monday. For bracelet orders without tags, we will ship within 3 business days. During the holidays please allow additional time.
What if my bracelet or watchlet doesn't fit? Custom Medical Bracelets has a nominal re-sizing fee. Bracelet re-sizing is $5.00 + shipping, Watchlets, $10.00 + shipping. After the 90 day guarantee is up, the charge to repair is: $9.00 for bracelets, $12.00 for watchlets + Shipping. Is it possible to get a full refund on my custom made bracelet or watchlet? We can not accept returns on any custom-engraved jewelry.
What is Gold Filled Jewlery? Gold-filled describes when a layer of gold is mechanically bonded with heat and pressure to one or more surfaces of the supporting base metal, such as brass, then rolled or drawn to a given thickness. In the jewelry industry the quantity of gold must be at least 1/20th by weight of the total product. Gold Filled items will remain gold for a lifetime if cared for properly. Unless you are using harsh chemicals abrasives, lotions or perfumes, the gold layer will stay gold for years to come!
How do I care for my sterling silver or gold-filled ID Tag? When storing jewelry, do not mix gold with silver, spearate the metals by compartments. Sterling silver and gold-filled are soft precious metals and vulnerable to scratching, so be careful. Consider purchasing a stainless steel Medical ID tag for everyday wear.
